31 Day Declutter Challenge

Day 17- Vases

Some women see a bouquet of flowers as a sweet gesture…I see it as a waste of money.

I know, I know…I’m definitely not a hopeless romantic, but I sure am practical. My husband knows that if he wants to make a sweet gesture, it better not be store bought cut flowers that will turn brown in a few days. For this reason, I need very few vases.

I do still occasionally use a vase if I bring flowers in from the garden, but I truely have no need for the cabinet of various sized and colored vases.

Ideas for getting rid of vases include:

Donating to your local thrift store

Check to see if any brides need vases for wedding centerpieces

If they are glass or plastic, check to see if you can recycle them

31 Day Declutter Challenge

New Year Challenge- 31 days of decluttering

31 Day Declutter Challenge

Now that Christmas is officially over, it is time to start thinking about the New Year.  I find the idea of having a ‘New Year’ ahead of you to be very inspirational when it comes to setting goals and getting motivated.

The Challenge:

Over the next month, I challenge you to make small, but consistent changes towards your goal of a less cluttered home and life. I have created a 31-day declutter challenge. Using the calendar that I have created, we will focus on one item or category each day…slowing chipping away at some clutter.

‘A year from now you will wish you had started today’

At the end of the month, hopefully you will be able to notice a huge impact. This challenge does not take care of all of your clutter. That would be unrealistic. It has taken years, even decades, to accumulate the stuff. However, with the tools and motivation that you will gain from this challenge, hopefully the new habit of clearing unnecessary items from your home will continue.

Make the most of the last few days of 2018…January 1st of 2019 will be here in just a few short days.
